I want to tell you about my most favorite time of all.
It’s my time with Mom.
When Mom is near, the whole world feels calm. I may not know many words yet, but I know her voice. I know her smell. I know her arms are the safest place I’ve ever been.
When she holds me close, I rest my head on her chest and listen to her heartbeat. It sounds familiar, like something I’ve known forever. In that moment, I feel warm, protected, and loved beyond words.
Mom talks to me softly. Sometimes she sings, sometimes she smiles, sometimes she just looks at me—and I feel like I’m the most important little person in the world. I look into her eyes and see love, patience, and care just for me.
We spend our special time doing simple things. She feeds me, plays with me, wipes my tiny hands, and laughs when I laugh. Even when I cry, she understands me before I understand myself.
When I’m tired, Mom rocks me gently. When I’m happy, she celebrates with me. When I’m scared, she becomes my courage.
I may be small, and I may forget many moments as I grow…
But my heart will always remember this feeling —
being loved by Mom 💕
